2nd ANNUAL COLUMBUS DAY PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST
Back by popular demand, the Columbus Day Photography Contest will be held again this year in conjunction with the Columbus Day celebration in Columbus, Kansas October 10-12, 2008. The entries for this photography contest will be on display at the Columbus Maple Uncommon Hotel located on East Maple Street, one block east of the courthouse.
The Maple Uncommon Hotel was gracious enough to help us out last year and were excited to have the honor of again hosting the event in 2008. Part of the proceeds from this contest will benefit the Cherokee County 4-H Photography group. This group is made up of young adults ranging in ages 7 to 19.
Voting for the People's Choice Award will take place on Saturday, October 11th from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Photos will be on display until 4:00 PM Saturday.
